8 week transformation

Day 6

I have been a fan of bodybuilding since my early teens. I always marveled at the bodybuilders of the 70's and 80's who were perfectly proportioned - the guys like Robbie Robinson and Sean Ray who had aesthetics and symmetry that resembled a work of art.

I have tremendous respect for the hard work and dedication in what it takes to stay in peak physical condition, especially with age.

I had the pleasure of hanging out with Robbie 3 years ago, he's a legendary bodybuilder who still practices what he preaches at the young age of 65.

Days 1-4, Training, and Nutrition Program

I started my program on Wednesday of this past week. Thebodygemgave me a RMR of 1690. For now, I will be taking in 2000 calories per day on my training days and 1850 on non training days.  The goal of this 8 week program will be two fold - increase LBM while decreasing fat.

Macronutrient Ratios on strength training days
35% Protein = 176g Protein
20% Carb = 108 grams (25% coming from accelerade post workout)
45% Fat = 100grams = 100 grams of fat

Non Strength Days
35% Protein = 162g Protein

Starting Stats: Week 1

8 week Transformation

The time will come in everyone's life when you ask yourself the question, "Am I doing everything to the best of my ability, or am I really just going through the motions?"

Well, I asked myself that very same question this week and I found myself becoming somewhat reflective and introspective. I am satisfied with most things in my life - my accomplishments, relationships, etc.. but I do feel that over the years my training has suffered with the growing demands of business, life, and a less then stellar low back.
