THE PLANO PROGRAM TEAM:

Marc Plano graduated from SCSU with a degree in Human Performance and Nutrition. Since then Marc has experience working with people from all walks of life including the overstressed, underfed, sleep deprived, overweight, and heavily medicated. Marc's teachings provide his clients with tools that give them effective ways to manage their health. Marc's holistic approach to nutrition and weight management addresses the person as a whole instead of focusing on calories or a specific diet. He currently owns and operates a successful personal training and holistic health practice in Orange CT called
Optimal Results. His constant passion and thirst for knowledge has led him to countless hours of study with the best alternative health care practitioners, clinical nutritionist, movement specialists, MD's, and Strength and Conditioning Specialists in their prospective fields. He has not only had a chance to study with these experts but in some cases work with them. Marc's multidisciplinary study coupled with his constant frustration with all the gimmick weight loss programs that push powder, pills, potions, and lotions fueled his desire to develop The Plano Program which works to restore and build health from the inside out. Marc's teachings lie within the phrase "You can not lose weight to improve your health, you must improve your health in order to lose weight."

Cerina Savino, Holistic Health Counselor, Board Certifed by the AADP and AAFA Certified Personal Trainer. Cerina studied at the Culinary Institute of Florence in Italy and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business from the Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.
Cerina’s passion for cooking began at childhood. She used to spend countless hours in the kitchen with her loved ones instead of outside playing like most children. It was these early on experiences that helped shape her destiny and spark her enthusiasm for nutrition.
Cerina's life changed drastically during her culinary studies in Italy. She noticed great cultural differences that were having a significant impact on the health and well-being of the those around her. In Italy food is revered, loved and honored with great respect. The Italians use it as a way to slow down and connect with one another. In America, where the fast pace drives everyone’s days, food is secondary and often eaten on the run. Cerina observed the differences in the two cultures – the Amercians’ being overweight, stressed and full of illness, the European culture being trim, loving and overall happy and content.
As she immersed herself in to the culture she became fascinated with the European lifestyle. Cerina began to question why obesity was a predominant factor in the United States. Soon after, something inside of her sparked and she knew what it was that she wanted to do. She was interested in the way Europeans enjoyed life and food, and how they were so intertwined. Cerina wanted to wake America up and teach them how to be aware of what they are putting into their bodies. You are what you eat. She has made it her mission to spread the word and take action into awakening Americans to be conscious of what they put into their body.
Cerina’s training and background drove her to create “Whole Life Nutrition”, offering Whole Food Nutrition with nutrient dense foods, and Lifestyle Counseling along with Cooking Classes. She is passionate about sharing all she’s learned with her clients in one-on-one counseling and group cooking classes.
